Savannah Longsword Fencing Club has been operating and competing since 2014, dedicated to creating top-level HEMA fencers and fostering passion for the field of historical fencing.
Who We Are
For more than a decade, SLFC has translated the world of historical fencing to modern competition and sparring using the works of authentic Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) sources with a rigorous pressure testing environment.
Whether you’re completely new to HEMA or already have tournaments under your belt, SLFC is a welcoming community for any and all interested in developing authentic historical fighting techniques.
Learn
As HEMA practitioners, our members take pride in working from real, authentic historical sources, and we constantly push to further examine, analyze, and adapt historical techniques to modern practice.
Compete
Our club carries an extensive and accomplished record in the competitive HEMA world, and members will have the chance to travel and test their fencing skills in tournaments with other clubs from around the world.
Fence
Above all, SLFC is here to spread the love of historical fencing, and that’s what we do, three times a week, rain or shine. Come fence with us every M/W/F from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, hosted at the Savannah Pickleball Academy.
